[#1849421]

afternoon guys
looking to lose a little weight while improving stamina fitness etc
this week i have managed to gain 3 pounds from 76.5 to 78 kilos
i havent eaten anything too bad and have ridden maybe 90 miles over 4 rides
should i be worrying about what i weigh or is it easier to just measure your self and see how clothes are fitting etc
i was gutted when i jumped on the scales i must admit

most pressure based scales are pretty inaccurate. I can fluctuate by 6-8lbs on mine day by day.

hydration can have a big effect as well.

Are you weighing yourself at the same time in the same condition each time? If you weighed yourself postcrap the first time and the second time antecrap, there would be a perceived weight gain. Try weighing yourself just after you've got up.

Do you actually want to be lighter or do you actually want to be slimmer. Weight is misleading so if you want to be slimmer then stick to waist measurements etc.

It's best to weigh yourself at the same time if you must. Drinking a pint of water will add over a pound to your weight so don't get too hung up on small differences.
