Had a ride straight from the front door Thursday evening. I've not taken that route for a while so was surprised to find everything had turned purple!

We spent most of the weekend working on our van conversion but did get a couple of hours out on the road in the Cotswolds. It was a nice day out despite how busy it was in the area; surprisingly lots of very considerate driving.

Here is Mr TW swooping past me (after I left him for dead on the climb 😁).

Day ride up to Kirkby Stephen on the Pennine Bridleway (mostly).

Even got some steam action waiting for the train home.

Just messed about at Swinley today. Nice weather for it.

Just grocery shopping. Short steep trip out, but took the long way back. On the long bike. It makes so much more sense as a bike when carrying big loads. Not a hint of noticeable flex or bother 👍🏼

Friday. First time back on the Tempest since the C2C. It feels light without the bike packs!

Sunday. 80km/1450m of climbing in the FoD/Yat. Really need to take my proper camera out again, rather than just take pictures of pubs we stop at on the way home. Brilliant ride tho and great to be back on the RipMo.

No pics but got a quick loop in yesterday before the thunderstorms started. Feizor - Clapham - Long lane up on to Sulber Nick, cheeky footpath down towards Horton then over Moughton Scar and down to Wharfe and back to Feizor. Got cut to buggery as most of the lanes are very overgrown with brambles and nettles 😮 Only the one between Feizor and the clapper bridge at Austwick has been strimmed.

Really? I got shredded going uphill on that on Saturday. And there's a fallen tree half-blocking it!

Not technically the weekend as it was last Thursday night. It was ridiculously wet and we got caught in a couple of absolute deluges. The light when we got up on the top of Scout Moor was just weird. Lovely though.

Took the camper to Chipping this weekend and rode around some trails that I've never been over before. Cracking day out.

Not the descent down to Wharfe Martin, the upper bit of that is jungle bashing, plus the fallen tree which is just round a corner when you are heading down. The one that's been strimmed is the main one leading down from the farm at Feizor http://streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=378285&Y=467855&A=Y&Z=120 to the big clapper bridge near Austwick http://streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=377345&Y=468645&A=Y&Z=120 , all the others are overgrown to a greater or lesser extent.

That’s a heck of a trip! Well done indeed. I think you need to cut it down to less than 1000 words before you can post it. So maybe do one day at a time if it’s under that, or keep splitting it until it works. Or send it to STW and see if they want to make it a web article.

WOW, what a fab day. Trails were amazing. Great banter and fun. Im sooo looking forward to that south lakes bike festival now. Its like riding a bike, but only better!

Was a good trip.

Sunday morning, 20ish mile pootle for me. Despite LOTS of walkers, doggers and families out my bell, straw hat* and low speed combo meant I wasn't marked out as one of those 'cyclists' but just a bloke on a bike.

*with MIPS.

Visiting my parents for my usual summer holiday and this time I have a boyfriend who rides so off we went for 45ish miles on Sunday. Did another 27 tonight in toasty heat!

Had a nice ride around Woodbury Common. Perfect conditions 🙂
