24 miles yesterday in the South Lakes, Claife Heights & Grizedale - and not one decent photo. Mainly because my phone battery went on strike.

Not actually very snowy, great trail conditions and temperature comfortable most of the way round. Got a bit less pleasant coming across Claife in the open on the way back, especially when one of the group's rear mech decided to snap off with no warning near the top.

Spent a thoroughly silly couple of hours slogging through snow drifts yesterday. Fun, mostly. Definitely ready for spring now though.

Looking forward to it.. Saturday biking with the GF then Sunday is out with some mates I first started biking with in the early 90’s and haven’t biked with in years. Back then our bikes were an Orange Clockwork, Kona Explosif and a Cannondale SM Chameleon

Just as planned. It was great seeing the fellas, who haven't ridden in years, thoroughly enjoying getting out on the trails at Drumlanrig. Already had the first messages this morning about buying new bikes 🙂

Drumlanrig trails were dry as a bone this weekend @poah and rock hard - ideal Drumlanrig conditions.

Nice one Rich - as you say it's the bits between moving and being snug in your pit that are the worst.

I always get chilled shortly after stopping and the time to put up a shelter gets me into that time zone which just makes it grim. It's worth easing back on the effort prior to stopping so you aren't sweaty then on with warm layers straight away.

First off, you are my hero Rich, must have been an amazing ride. Well out of my comfort zone I'm afraid!

Headed to Ae for a bit of exploring. Phone died and got lost lol Bumped into Ben Cathro teaching a load of highly skilled kids. Fell off a few times and minced down the off piste trails very slowly.

Just watched the video you did, loved it. Real riding showing the offs as well as the fun. I felt like I was the rider when your front wheel washed out on that right hand bend! Of have been sat there for 5 minutes checking the bike over and myself. You just got back on and went, nice one. 😃
