3hrs singlespeeding this morning still dryish with not much standing water so still on worn summer tyres and no guards. A little frost in places but the ground is still so hard it doesn't make much difference. Love this time of year for the birdage.... loads of buzzards, fieldfares, bullfinches and wrens out today

I went out this morning, frozen mud, good. Frozen rain, not good. Didn't do much as it was pretty cold. But I did manage to finish with that smug feeling you get when everyone else is stuck at home.

3 hour muddy slog around Midlands BWs and canals in freezing cold and pissing rain.
Just pleased it’s over 😯

I wanted to go out, but after a week of severe manflu decided to wait till tomorow when its not raining, or freezing. I wish i'd just gone out now as ive wasted the whole day

I find that even if you get out for a tiny ride, you do come back feeling better. I did less than 10k, but found a new trail, had a couple of nice chats with dog walkers and a fellow mountain biker and enjoyed cleaning a techy section in terrible conditions.

Chickened out of the BB winter bivy yesterday/last night/today. This morning my wife felt under the weather so went out for a quick blast on the fat bike from Hetton up on to Weets Top, Mastiles then back over Threshfield and Boss Moors. Caught most of it before things turned back to mud - but was still very muddy when I got back to the car! Just 20km but some PBs which was surprising.
