Took my daughter on her first wild camp which we walked, it was a success so the deal was I bought her a new bike to go bike packing on:-)

Yes, that's the one. Definitely one of those climbs where you need to get yourself into a rhythm that you feel you could keep up all day and not think about the summit. I love the sense of isolation up there though. Not so much when I'm surfing down the other side thinking about how long the walk back to the car is going to be if it goes wrong though!
A lovely 18 miles and a few PB's in glorious sunshine on the new Capra - and then there's an ice cream van at the top of the last climb above Beeley....

A gang of families from Stirling bike club took on Glen Dubh and Kendrum, plus Killin secret singletrack. 35km/600m climbing. Not bad, especially for the 8 year old on fatbike... 😯

Summer is here, 31 degrees and humidity in the high 80's means more reliance on shuttles to get up mountains.
Tai Mo Shan shuttles on Saturday, faffing around up and down.

At one point there was a huuuuge oak fallen straight across the trail, which would made an ace pic if I could dragged the bike onto it but it was too sketchy

I went into the Peak on Friday night, did a nice little loop from the camping barn in Upper Booth, climbed the broken road just as the sun was going down and got a nice descent down Greenlands in the dark.
