Elan Valley for us.
Was a bit moist at times but generally better than the forecast predicted.
Not seen the resers so full in a long time.

quick glance a thought that was a leccy SC ๐
Nice.
Was out in the Dark Peak today, but didn't take any snaps. Missed the most of the rain but did have two light showers, sun was out and was pretty warm all the way round. Had a fantastic day out on the demo Nomad I've had for the last few days.
64km and just under 2000m of climbing, consisting of starting in Hayfield, up and over Jacobs, up Greenlands, down Backtor Farm, Jagger's Clough, The Beast, Lockerbrook, round Fairholmes, up onto Derwent Edge, drop to behind The Ladybower Inn, round to Aston, Hope Brink, Roman Road to Hope, Broken Road up Mam Tor, Rushup Edge, Roych Clough, South Head, Coldwell Clough, Campsite descent and back into Hayfield.
What a great way to spend a Sunday ๐
I had a great ride on Friday evening being shown round some off piste Cannock trails and promptly got my arse handed to me. 'if this was a skiing route it'd be a black diamond' said my riding companion ominously before disappearing through the trees. I gave it a go only to come a cropper, slightly tacoed my front wheel, broke 2 spokes and my riding glasses in the fall. Great ride though, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Bike packing Win. I'd be lucky to get my kids round the Verderers trail nowadays!
I didn't take any photos. I did go quite a long way tho

Driest it's been in the FoD/Yat for a while but that doesn't mean it was dry. First ride though in four weeks without waterproof socks. I did consider riding some local roads to get it to 100km, but the legs would have had me walking the plank!
No pics but did a road ride from home, over to Newlands Corner (climbed both sides), then back over Leith Hill and over to Box Hill.
About 130km in all, with 1600m vertical of climbing.
Did (most of) the Peak 200, got to the back of Stanage Causeway when my GPS decided to "lose" its maps*. Since I now didn't know where I was on the route I made my way back to Ladybower missing out the Rivelin loop, got to the top of The Beast and realised that I didn't know where the route went between there and Castleton so dropped down Roman Road and rode back along the road to Edale.
Did about 200Km (the route is actually 230Km) and about 24hrs start to finish. I'm knackered!
* It hadn't lost the maps, just zoomed out so far that the entire earth was hidden behind the current location arrow. I was too tired to figure it out.
Popped up to Afan early sunday morning to find out the trails had been turned into a white water rafting centre for the day ๐ One stream was making a waterfall that was providing a power shower along jetlag.
Was very hard going, did blade then whites, was going to do a second lap of whites but I was beggining to bonk and fell off twice making stupid mistakes going uphill ๐ณ so aborted and headed back down.
Dozed in front of the TdF all afternoon. Still feeling it today. Strava suffer score of 284 though which i think is the highest score I've ever had.

riding the donkey Rocketman, were you ill?!
Riding on my own so no actual riding pics but had a great ride in the Dark Peak yesterday. Took in Cavedale, Jacobs Ladder and The Beast, weather was ok but the trails were as wet as an otters pocket!

Busted! ๐riding the donkey Rocketman, were you ill?!
Road circuit round Pendle Hill from Burnley.
How hard can it be? ๐
Her indoors went off like a rocket, so pushed it a bit to keep up over Newchurch to Barley.
Long drag up the hill to Downham was fine, grabbed a coffee but forgot to eat anything.
Headed west along the cycleway, over the main road then back toward Pendleton and I was in trouble.
Crawled back along Padiham Greenway a broken man.
35, admittedly very hilly miles.
Average speed 8mph.
๐
Not been so daft on a ride for ages.
I knew I should stop and eat something, but kept getting distracted by rain, route finding, being s****ed at by old Audax types etc.
