Weekend rides - naming convention / pin?

Yes I am splitting hairs on a wet Monday morning, but how about....

We seem to on occasion have a few duplicate 'Weekend rides' threads.

Now this could be solved by a proper search of the forum. Ahem.

But do we also consider:
- asking mods to pin it each week?
- have a naming convention such as 'Weekend Rides: insert amusing strap line here'?

There's a search function?

How about 1 sticky thread that gets added to each week? You can then scroll back over the weeks and months looking for inspiration on a wet and dreary Monday morning.

That idea seems to work ok for
https://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/the-midweek-ride-picture-thread/

I often look back through that thread as there's some great pictures in it.

Can we have a 'I rode a bike - Picture Thread' sticky?

All inclusive, no matter what day of the week you ride. If you have a picture it's allowed in.

That.

Is Monday midweek or the weekend? What if it's a bank holiday? When does the weekend start? Friday morning, lunchtime, evening, or midnight?

What about if you've booked off Thursday and Friday for a long weekend? Thursday is then your 'weekend' 🤣

Agreed; a singular, all encompassing riding pics thread would be ideal. It might break the hamsters, mind you...

To help the hamsters it could be a monthly thread, pinned and you just add pics?

I quite like the occasional puzzle of thinking of a decent name for that weekend's thread if it falls to me to open it...

But yeah, one thread would be fine (also still works for the 'pictures you are proud of' thread).
