It's the start of half term for us, we opened the account with a potter around Kinnoul hill trying to find gnar for mini_oab and avoid gnar for mrs_oab.

The first time I've been cold on a bike in a long while.

wee ride in the mud at cathkin - will probably venture out again at some point but close to home. In dire need of this holiday.

Road yesterday and very muddy local explore today. Restrictions in Central Belt mean we are asked to stay in our own Health Board Region, so a bit of route finding today

Set up and delivered a couple of bikes to a local guy yesterday. He was amazed at how good a condition the bikes were in after looking at a load of rubbish over the summer. Wanted an ebike for himself and a 29er for his son.
Rode Cutgate from Langsett this morning, cant remember when I last saw it so busy. All the car parks were full early, didn't see anyone else out riding.
North America is now getting the rocks exposed from the resurfacing so should be riding a lot better over the winter.

Still hard to beat the local trails.

30 miles of gravel for me. Out of Northampton along the Brampton Valley Way, up Merry Tom Lane, twice round Pitsford reservoir and home again. There were loads of folk out, I was very glad to have a bell on my bike. It was good to see and everyone seemed happy to be out in half decent weather.

Dogsitting the pup this weekend while the other half cares for her northern bubble.

Escaped to West Yorkshire for a kip in the van, just me and the dog. Glorious.

How wet was the bog on cutgate @Tracey - with the amount of rain overnight Wed/Thurs in that area I'd have thought you'd needed a snorkel!

The trails were alot drier than what was expected. It rained all day yesterday. I've seen the bog drier but I expect that as winter arrives it will live up to its reputation.

Two rides in three days - hardly been out in ages for one reason or another, so this was heaven, particularly with the sun putting in an appearance.

Not long before I got here, ten motocrossers came up one of my favourite trails, ripped parts up pretty badly

Great morning nonetheless!

Friday evening fire road bimble (elbow still a bit tender so no rough stuff). First day/night ride of the season for me which is always cool.

Still not 100% on the elbow this morning, so the road bike (which looks more and more like an MTB every time I rebuild it) came out to play.

Great weather here in the Blacks so a few of us went out for a gravel ride to test Andys's second wooden Twmpa bike. Fantastic day out in the hills and even more impressed with the bikes. I can see me buying one soon ๐Ÿ™‚

Lush day for a ride on Saturday which included a mix of great views and wooded sections with lots of roots. Getting a lot more confident with the LLS geometry, having last bought a mountain bike in 2011!

Highlight of the ride was tackling a tricky rooty section and 2 young deer came springing out of nowhere and raced alongside the trail just in front of me ๐Ÿ™‚

@ready its a freaky looking doll. I hadn't ridden down there for ages, but there is a bit of bridleway that spits you out onto a lane directly opposite. Here's a better pic from a rambling website I just found:
