Visited Pitlochry for the first time and wasn't disappointed. Trails were mostly dry and running sweet. Its well worth a visit.

@Poah..
We visited Pitlochry a couple of years back as a "warm down " on the way home from our Cairngorm trip ( the same trip that we met you at Comrie ) ..
Dave Tasker from memory remembered it as a nice mellow ride ..hah ..we did more climbing than on any other ride on that trip ..the bloody nutter !
Great riding though ..

I'm resting my ribs this weekend after a chest plant on to a tree stump at Jedburgh last weekend..knowing the kind of pain broken ribs give ..I don't think they are any more than badly bruised this time but still bloody sore ..

Rode a local 100k audax - had a couple of my easy ride group with me doing their first audax event, so always slightly behind the groups from the club, but 200 people out on a bright but chilly day, cracking day out!

Bit of a cheat as it was mid-week, but we had a few days near Aviemore, so I took the fatbike along. I know there is lots of information available on where to ride and where not to attempt, but I prefer just exploring trails that I can see on the map. Sometimes these turn out to be unridable, but that’s all part of the fun and it makes the sweet trails that I do find all the sweeter.

No riding.
Watching over DofE groups in the hills and woods. Subzero nights, bright sunshine, lovely half moon last night, some real friendly folk out on the hill.

Thursday to Saturday have been epically sunny. Did the grind up to Portland a couple of times but never managed to get all the way up the hill without walking.
Nice to be out of Oxfordshire for a bit.

Revision day at school on Friday, so thought I'd ride in on the bamboo bike.

Then the usual womble round the woods today. Grabbed a short pedally KOM and had a quick visit to our humble little jump spot / playground.

We rode the Llangollen loop again on Saturday. I didn’t take my camera this time so here’s a pic from our Feb ride:

It was even more fun this time. A bit drier, a bit warmer (although wind was bitter on the tops) and a bit faster. And we were staying in Llangollen so it ended up being a brilliant night involving beer, mojitos, port and red wine. Sunday we did the beast at CyB and I wasn’t really feeling the love when we exited a warm (but stinky) van into another cold morning.

Brilliant as ever tho. I love that loop. Had a blast and stayed mostly out of the wind.

Quite tired this morning 😉
