Lucky enough to finish work a little early today, so this week's Friday ride was (mostly) in the light.
Managed to get out for a spin in the Mendips yesterday.. bit slippy and sloppy after the overnight rain but entertaining nonetheless!

Brrrrr feels chilly today, not sure i'll want to stop !
Got out on Wednesday night with Mrsstu.
Local trails have taken another massive hit from the storm last weekend and I've done something odd to my back.
No riding for me for the next few days.
Hopefully my back eases off and I can get to work re routing round some of the downed trees.

Yep, after a broken finger kept me out of action for 4 weeks, I've been out several times in the last week. Fitness has dropped, and strength in my hand is below par, also think I have a bit of carpal tunnel going on, but enjoying the BigWig SS.
Wednesday night's ride (I know, stretching it a bit for a "weekend ride pics" post ...)
And out this morning before the rain got too grim ...
Last minute change of plans for us ment that we were local. For the last few weeks, whenever we have riden local, part of the ride has been reclaiming the trails from the latest storm damage.
Today there was none of this and a bit of a suprize that hundreds of trees have been planted. Already planning a way through them once they are established
Some great shots, keep them coming
Forgot the sunrise shot from this morning's dog walk.

Nice one of Cheddar gorge Forest of Dean was YUK compared with last Sunday 4 weeks to dry out 4 hours of heavy if not more to turn it into a mud bath bike needed a clean.
A very windy 29 miles and 4750ft of climbing round the Purbecks, including a bit of hike a bike that steep, there’s a rope to assist getting up.

Still snowy here in Black Forest...

not managed out - weather just too nasty 🙁
Friday
Dumyat in the snow.
Sleety mess on the climb to the start and then the fun stuff started. Superb morning out.
Sunday
Skoosh in the woods with sleet and snowdrops.
This is the most decent snow we've had in a while so it wasn't to be wasted.

It's a bit muddy in Chase Woods...

All of the weathers in Hebden this morning, and very slick trails

That feeling when you umm and arr about getting out on the bike but then the sun comes out so you kit up and go but then the wind is horrible so you're miserable but then you take what you think is one of your best riding selfies so it's all good.
We managed to reach the source of the mighty River Nith - impressive eh?

The boy thought it'd be fun to hit the monster gap at the bottom.
