Got a bit of catching up to do, it’s been a busy few days!

Wharncliffe Sunday, then onto Durham to stay the night on my way to work in Eyemouth.

Monday,
Boat out the water, and say hi to the resident. Check into the Accommodation, followed by the the local hill after work, then grabbed some fish and chips at 8pm and rode to the Bay, and followed the coastal path for a bit, just as I was about to turn into the drive way, I decided to chase a sunset uphill, hoping for a stunner at the top.

Looks like you have had a busy week so far.
We were in Wharnclffe on Sunday and then finished up playing in the Greno side.

Finished the job at 7.00pm, grabbed a pie, slice of pizza and some cold beer from the petrol station, dropped the car at the “Hotel” and headed for St Abb’s and followed the coastal path to Eyemouth, but I’d hike a bike, but it’s quite comfortable other than the weight, if I get the right position, I can use the downtime to massage my shoulder knots 😂

Today, Drive to Craobh Marina just South of Oban for a couple of hours on one of my favourite boats, “Bill & Me” it’s built by Baltic Yachts and to a Superyacht standard, but is a sensible size. With the weeks work done and no need to be home until Sunday morning, I’ve headed to Ft William.

It’s in my top 3 favourite places, and I’ve only done a few bits there.

Weekend started yesterday on my trip to a very soggy Swinley. Took the hardtail because I didn’t want the full sus covered in the sandy paste that Swinley throws up in the wet

I’ve been hugely inspired by the number of woman doing the Outdoor Provisions and Rapha Pennine Rally over the last week. So I filled my bag with OP, donned the Rapha and just headed out to Skipton to see how far my legs would get me, on a route partly inspired by @whitestone. 42 miles later, at least 50% of which were off-road, I made it home. Tired but very happy that every week I feel long COVID is getting less and less. Absolutely loving the Niner. Already put 130 miles on it in since I built it just over 2 weeks ago!!!

Yeah I've passed by there for a few years and the collection of parked and rotting Range Rovers keeps on growing. Amazing.
You'd have thought somebody would take them for parts.

Went exploring my new surrounds on the road bike. Went from Perth down to Gleneagles, Glen Devon and then back via Dunning.

Just trying to build my fitness after a rubbish year. So loops of the Middlewood Way and Canal. I can honestly say I love this bike. It’s my road bike, commuter, fun with the kids, playing out and MTB. This and a short travel full sus 29er would be all the bikes I want and need

I’m crap at taking pictures but managed to get really close to a Heron. I would’ve got closer but a barge surprised it and made it take flight

Had my second jab in Saturday so no riding and only a relatively gentle ride this afternoon after the French GP. Ride from my parent's house and planned to loop round the Blorenge but the weather thought otherwise! Cold, thick mist and a bitin wind meant it was no fun up the top due to poor visibility due tomist and fading light so came back down the Tumble road instead of the singlerack. Topped just ove 40mph through the twisty bits so was still fun.

As I haven't turn this way for a few years it was actually a bit of a surprise some old trails that had become overgrown have been pushed back into use during the lockdowns.

This is where they po out by the canal but above it is 7-8 tracks of varying difficulty, will pop back with the big bike at some point and see if the features that were built over 30 years ago are still ridable.

Rain was forecast so we only planned a short Grizedale loop, but we were presented with beautiful weather.

I mildly dislike you all right now (not really) but (1) those are some beautiful pictures and (2) I should have stayed out of here having spent the morning unblocking some drains and the afternoon that I should have been riding with my two boys trying to get just one of my two mountain bikes into a ridable state followed by well over an hour trying to find repair bits that are in stock. Lovely pictures (dam it).

not the greatest riding pictures, but I am exploring my new local hill. it’s closer to human powered shuttling than trail riding. i’m not complaining, it’s on my doorstep-ish.

Inappropriate bike on a ride. New disk road bikes are quite capable.

Just catching up with this thread now ... great to see so many folk out riding their bikes and having a good time. A shedload of brilliant pics as usual.

Another great vid @rOcKeTdOg – really enjoyed it, thanks. Glad to see some food content – sausage roll update please ... 🙂

The old P7 has been neglected and sat in the shed for ages, so I got it out, gave it a bit of TLC, and set up as a commuter. I took it out for a leisurely potter down the lines (Route 6) and local bridleways then back for a pint and the football. As fathers days go, not too shabby 🙂

Headed up to the Lakes for a chilled out bikepacking trip with some friends - group of five of us, two people's first bikepacking experience. I'd put together a loop of back roads and gravel sections, aiming for 60km Saturday and 40 Sunday. Ended up riding 75km, not being able to get food at the pub, finding the midges were out in force because it was warm and still, so sacked off the camp and rode back in darkness to where we started - a holiday cottage! One of the group had never ridden more than 50km, and her longest rides were all on road, so to double down and do a metric century, loaded with kit, on a hilly mixed ride in the north Lakes was pretty good going!

Sunday we dropped the bags off the bike and had a gentle 20km spin to a tearoom 🙂
