Let's all take a break from the news coverage and the election and reflect upon the important things in life, Cycling!
I aim to be out local this evening by 7.45pm after the kids are in bed and if I'm lucky I might get a sneaky one in on Sunday morning.

Where you off and what've you got planned?

the youngfella has decided he wants to do a canal tour tomorrow so it looks like the wallsall canal to Sandwell valley a few times around the short trails in the woods then on to Birmingham and back to wolves not the most exciting ride but at least its a couple of hrs of just me and the boy

A gentle one round Stanage for me this weekend, as currently suffering from a very bruised and swollen AC joint thanks to some little P#€¥k after hitting him whilst out on the Roadie last weekend.

Batch Burner tomorrow for the fourth year on the bounce, shame it's rained a fair bit this week and more forecast tomorrow but hey ho.

Then as we're staying over in Shrewsbury tomorrow night, heading to Hopton on Sunday, which I'm also looking forward to. Win 😀

Took today and tomorrow off work and was out from around 10 to just after 12.30 and again from 3 to after 5. Wasn't all riding, spent about 30 minutes at the jumps trying to dig drainage grooves with a tiny stick like a moron! Brought a little trowel thing in the afternoon session to do it right. Legs feeling suitably tired and abused right now and tingling with nettle stings. Get another quick run tomorrow morning before picking up the boys. Maybe a Sunday evening run too if it stays decent. Must remember to do pics.

Catching up with andy from stooge for a final review of the speedball prototypes and ride at llandegla before exciting stuff happens for folks wanting retro looking ti hooligan bikes. Then proper miles on Sunday as final ride to bed in chainring n chain before singles speedy mayhem next weekend.

Just a local one for me on the Tripster all CX'd up

Although I did get a bit lost behind Horwich, & did see this sign outside a pet store though. The lad I work with mum owns it 🙂

I tightened a bolt on the rear mech on commuter today but other than that I've not touched a bike since Friday. Sad times.

Difficult riding at times, but really enjoyed the day, finished off nicely with a gorgeous pale ale...

Did a lot of Ridgeway miles over the weekend and in the spirit of #bemoreminaar I did them on the Trigger 29 1 that I've not ridden since last summer. It was brilliant.

Only a short ride owing to having been at a music festival for 2 days in the rain and being quite frankly worn out. Went out to Drewsteignton and rode around a few bridleways coming back on the Hunters Path.

lol cracking pint shots all round.
I got out local on friday and headed to a local nature reserve place via a very steep hill I've not ridden in ages, had a great time and hit a top speed of 42mph down the hill, (on 26" wheels and knobbly tyres) excellent fun.
Then I got out on sunday morning at 6.30am for a quick hour in the sun up the local woods. And I was rewarded with a buzzard flying right across my path in front of me and the sight of a deer, who quickly bounded away. In the 10 years or so of mountain biking virtually every week up Hanchurch, it is only the third time I have seen a deer up there, so they must hide themselves away very succesfully.
