Lee Quarry is a different place at dusk...., I was up there with my bro a few weeks ago about 7pm, the echos, dim yellow light, industrial backdrop and, graffiti covered cliff faces and waterpools make this a pretty awesome place.

Its fantastic up there late on when everyone else has gone home, real peace about the place.

Nice one on picking up the litter, some people just don't seem to give a ****.

My Mum lives in Rawtenstall and it's about 10 years since I've riden in Rossendale (and so have lost touch with anyone who may still ride in the area), however I fancy riding Lee Quarry next time I'm up there. Will I need to find someone to show me around or is it all pretty obvious for a couple of hours of play time? Thanks.

Similar to you i left the valley 10 years ago and rarely went back to visit (Bacup was where i grew up see lol), my mum now lives in Waterfoot right on the doorstep of Lee and Cragg quarry, i rode there for the first time last summer and both Lee and Cragg are easy to navigate round, Cragg was the more difficult to find in the first place but i think it will be better signed now, plus there's a link to Cragg from Lee quarry which is easy to find.

What is it like over there, in terms of dodgy-ness (if that makes sense) if you get people over there trying to rob your bike or just kids causing trouble ??
