[Closed] Wear below dust seals on stanchion...

Just discovered large rubbing on stanchion, below seal so will never go past wipers apart from on assembly.

Worth having a major fit over or just pretend isn't there for now? Can't afford new forks right now...

sounds like you'll be sticking with them.

I suspect it's wear from the bushes inside the lowers. Over time it will get worse and you might find the lowers are rocking a bit on the stanchions but it'll tend not to fail catastrophically.

Fox are fairly notorious for this type of wear.

Bushes looks about right.

Wear is about 2" from end of stanchion and again around top of bush just below seals.... But the higher bit is more likely them being left static months without having service before I'd guess- self inflicted in other words.

I'm trying to eke them out a few more months so the advice above is about what I'd hoped to hear.

As I read that: they're dying but with care they'll last a while...
