Well velosolutions built it. We worked for 7 or so years to get here. It's looking pretty damn good. The small beginners track is 100m long. Can't wait to roll a bike round it.
Anyone suggest a decent not too expensive pumptrack bike?
I can't wait to not have to chair so many meetings.

That looks pretty epic.  I suspect there will be a road trip on the cards soon from Chopwell.

For the one near me, I built up a Dialled Holeshot (long) with 100mm Sektors, Pro2 on Flow with Table Tops, and single speed.  Feels sketchy compared to the FS but flies round the track.  It's way, way better a bike than I'll ever be a rider.

Exactly my thought! Amazing what you can get away with in lockdown though. 🙂

*puts Hawick on the map of places to go with bike*

Well done sir, superb. I've ridden a few Velosolutions pump tracks, and they are utterly fantastic things.

I love taking friends and teaching them how to pump - even though I am shit, its such an awesome feeling when you get it right and realise you are going waaaay tooo FASSTT! for the next berm 🙂

Every major town should have a pumptrack its not as if you need a lot of land for the usage it provides. They're so accessible from kids, beginners to pros

That's the best use of a cricket pitch I've ever seen. Great work!

Peebles needs one of these. The local opposition would be spectacular.

Agreed. And every urban cyclepath should have a pump track section parallel to it. No cars, no obesity and plenty of fun. I'll tell Greta and David

Cheers guys. I'm trying to figure out how to tell Mrs 100th that I have to leave for work 40 minutes earlier than usual most days.
Hopefully it'll get folk coming just for a day's play.

When is it due to open? It looks amazing. I live in Innerleithen and my 2 daughters use the Cardrona one. Their eyes lit up though when I showed them pics of this.

I love a good pump track and that one is spectacular!

Was pottering about on the Comrie pump tracks with my 3 year old son on his balance bike, me on my drop barred gravel bike, both of us having a great time.

Will try and fit a visit in to our next trip to the tweed valley, not far from the a68 so not a big diversion.
All being well Sheffield will have it's own version by the end of the year!

+1 The nearest to me is a 50 mile round trip to the middle of nowhere in a small village, there's literally nothing else there other than a few houses. It's fun but a bit small. There's a better one but that's an 85 mile round trip.

Looks fantastic 🙂
I learned to pump properly aged 50 odd on a cruiser BMX, never too late to get the hang of something new.

Good effort on that - looks awesome, just waiting on some funding requests to come back to get Clark & Kent to redesign and resurface the pump track near me.
(Don't think i'll get the funding for a track that big tho!)
