I usually wear a pair of Altura 3/4 but suffer the problem of water down the legs and pooling inside my seal skin socks. I've never used bike specific long trousers but think I might this winter for a bit of warmth and comfort! . Any good makes and models I should look out for.

Keela Scuffer trousers are ace; I've been recommending them for years.
I stopped off at their shop several months ago and they've expanded their range and do some more active/cycle clothing.
