Does anyone know of any cycling waterproof trousers with the option of shorter legs? Most are around 33" inside legs and I'm only 29". I have found the 7 Mesh ones, but they are super spendy at £280.

Thanks for the suggestions, I haven't seen the Berghaus trousers, but having sold Keela in the past I would have said they were a bit too baggy for riding.

The Berghaus will also be flappy - the more expensive ones will be better.

Any pair you like the look of plus a few ££ at the local alterations place?

Montane and Alpkit both do different leg lengths. The Alpkit ones are a better fit on me than the Montanes, and are also a much softer, quieter fabric. I haven’t had a chance to use them in rain yet, so can’t comment on that I’m afraid.

Good reviews for both.

Short legs too (30”) and using Royal Racing storm pants. Cut a bit like hammer pants but work well when riding.

You don't state your waist size. Fox Ranger 3L in 32 waist are good for 30 inside leg, should be ok for 29 too. Expensive though unless you get lucky with your purchase timing.

I believe the standard answer is cheap ex-ermy gore-tex off ebay plus a pair of scissors and a sweing machine / needle and thread

Keela Lightnings. I’m a 29” leg & (was) a 36” waist. They actually did fit length wise.

I've just bought the Fox Ranger 3L and they're spot on for me in a 30" Waist at 5'8" with short legs, I think they're a 29" leg but may be wrong!

Nice cut too, pretty fitted and with a snug elasticated cuff at the ankles.

They were about £120 though ..

You don't even need to sew up the hems, they don't fray after cutting with scissors IME.

Can you live with spending just £20 on them though OP?

I have the Keela ones at the beginning of the thread, and the Montane ones linked also. Haven’t worn either on bike, but do use both regularly for dog walking, usually over jeans. Both good fit on short legs, Keela heavier and thicker and have advantage of openings to get into jeans front pockets. Suspect the Montane ones might be better on bike, but I use Keela Roadrunners for that.

Another vote for Fox, I'm 5ft10 with 30“ leg and they fit well.

VERY snug at the ankles, good once fitted but it's a right squeeze getting your feet through!
