[#1149168]

are there any out there that:
a) are long enough to not ride up when pedalling (I'm 32" waist, 34" leg)
b) Aren't so baggy as to look like MC hammer
c) are waterproof and breathable

Or am I asking too much....

i am also 32/ 34 and have just bought my first pair of altura night visions [cheap at melin] Went for the medium size and they have adjustable length which i run a full length. There not to baggy and have adjustable width on the shin area.
Theyre ok but unfortunatly have nothing to compare them to.
Hope that helps

Gore but suspect they may not be long enough.

Altura drylines here in large IIRC, similar size to you, but they have a built in belt thingy so it's all good.

Having said that, prefer waterproof socks, knee warmers and waterproof shorts combo.

I should be selling my Gore ones (they are men's), would you like me to measure the length? Am waiting on some ladies-specific ones in the same style.

Yes please cinamon.

As an alternative in the meantime, I'm thinking of using some lightweight ankle gaiters to cover the gap between my MT90 boots and the bottom of too-short trousers to keep the snow out.

Nosie - heard other good things about the Alturas, so might have a look...

exactly the same measurements as you, and i use altura attack waterproofs in medium, and they are (just) long enough, and also tight enough. good buy.

I use the Army Goretex ones too (not desert camo tho ;)) you can get them for around a tenner if you search hard enough.

Same size as you, I got a pair of Briko w'proofs, fit perfectly. Zips up to your hips so that you can get them on/off easily, tension straps on calfs and ankles to stop them flapping around, did have elastic braces on but I cut them off. Ridden in them down to -19 on my daily commute, had them for over a year and still no sign of wear, only downside was that they were about 65 quid, but then quality costs!

im 30waist 34 inside leg

large endura stealth bibs or XXL freestyle sports goretex(dont ask) for my commute

leg length has always been an issue and i used to end up wearing leg warmers rather than longs all the time

I recieved a pair of the army ones off ebay yesterday, my wife has cut them down to 3/4 length and hemmed them and they are really good. Not too baggy and very comfortable over bibs. I don't think you can get gortex shorts for 20 quid anywhere else.

Camo pattern but then I think that looks OK, especially when muddy.

The altura night vision ones are pretty good if you dont mind the reflective bits.

Not too baggy and have 2 velcro adjusters to tighten around the ankle and mid shin. The also have 2 extendable bits at the bottom 2 increase the length by 1-2". I think mine are smalls, which the size guide says they are 29" waist, but I am about a 33" waist and they fit me fine.

I got some Night Visions for £15 off the classifieds, well chuffed with them. Used them on every commute so far with leg warmers underneath, temp regulation is great.
I haven't got long legs but they do have an extended part that tucks up, so should be long enough.

I really like my Altura Attack trousers. I'm a 34/34 waist/leg and the fit of the large is excellent.

My new girlie Gore Alp X trousers arrived this morning which means that I will be selling the men's Gore XCR Paclite ones. They are large, with stretch inserts, fly, reinforced seat and leg zips (which the Alp X doesn't have).

Will do some pics but would be looking for £25 posted as they are in good condition, completely waterproof and tested in all sorts of conditions!

E-mail in profile.

berghouse ones here.

mahoosive zip up the zide but with poppers so you can open the zip for ventilation. great trollies for the commute.

for proper riding in the wet i use cheapo £10 waterproofs cut just below the knee. as they are cut down they have plenty of ventilation to avoid sweaty bollox. coupled with knee/shin pads i`m warm and dry.
