HI, can anyone recomend a pair of Waterproof trousers for MTB ( with enough room for knee pads underneath )cant decide between 3/4 length or full length.
Fox do some which are decent, but a bit pricey.
i've been impressed with the madison ones I have.

£25 is quite cheap. kept me dry in Norway on a 8 hour ride.
and most people can afford to lose a stone or 2.

More water resistant but i have endura singletrack full length. love them and great in all but sustained rain.
Can easily fit my (albeit low profile) bliss kneepads under and with articulated knees they dont ride up.
I bought some polaris ones in the sale a while ago that are decent. However, like @timbog160 I've recently bought some army surplus goretex (not the MTP ones due to the full length zip) and chopped them down to shorts. They need reproofing, I think, but they are light, and way cheaper than branded shorts. You could even just leave them as trousers. Mine were pretty baggy near the ankles, so they'd have needed something to tame that if I wasn't due to cut them down.Plus almost everyone looks badass in proper camo.

Did you taper the leg at all? I have some I have chopped to long shorts but thought they looked like they would need alteration to use full length.
The ones I bought are quite baggy at the ankle but do have Velcro straps to tame them a bit. Having said that I find the bagginess does help with ventilation, and combined with the full zips makes them dead easy to put on/ take off mid ride...
