I really should probably buy some waterproof socks.
Don't really want to fork out £30 for Sealskinz so looking for something a bit more budget.
Anyone used these CARNAC Waterproof socks.

Or any other alternatives that are recommended?

You might get lucky at the Sealskinz outlet. Here
The Carnac ones at least look like they are foot shaped. I've got some of the Aldi ones which are shaped like narrow buckets with a heel bodged in.

I prefer the Dexshell ones to Sealskinz.

Is the extra 10% off thing still working, if so, this is decent deal.

As always when this comes up, the Aldi ones are as good or better than Sealskinz.

Not really. I've got both (last years Aldi and a new set of sealskinz with hydrobloc.

Yes the Aldi ones were 12.99 and the seals were £23 on Amazon but they are way better. More flexible, more sock shaped, thinner but warmer. The aldi's are just sock shaped objects in comparison and you can see the liner through the material. The sealskinz have a denser weave but less bulk.

Showers pass IMHO. Sealskins leak from new, bloody awful product and equallly terrible customer service.

I prefer sealskin, my mate prefers Aldi.
Find a deal, buy those.

The only thing about Aldi ones that are better is the price, sealskinz are a superior product, Aldi ones are more like the earlier, shapeless sealskinz.

Both my mid and knee length sealskinz are great, the standing in a bath of water trick disproves (in my pairs anyway) the leaking from new theory, and when I accidentally tumble dried them, they sent me a brand new pair, so customer service pretty good too.

Haven't tried the dexshell ones, but lbs sells loads and they seem to be decent too.

Got both Aldi and new Sealskinz - Aldi about 2 years old, Sealskinz 1 year old. Both work very well but I also tend to wear waterproof trousers over them so I never have the water-in-at-the-top issue.
Sealskinz comfier but both work very well.
Not tried either with the cuff getting soaked though.

I think knee length is the biggest advantage for me, which is why I prefer Sealskins. Otherwise the water goes down your shin and fills the sock.

I have lidl ones and sealskins. Not a lot in it and I prefer the lidl ones The sealskins are no longer fully waterproof after only half a dozen times being used.
