[#201675]

I bought some Endura Superlite shorts a while back and to be honest I have not been impressed with them at all, they move around too much and I am constantly pulling them up and moving them around.

Can you suggest some alternatives please ?

I have just been looking at the Altura Attack Waterproof 3/4 Overshorts, but I'm not sure if I would have the same problem as the superlites.

Cheers

Sombrio wildcards are amazing - had two pairs, last for ages, and really tough and water resistant.

I've been using Gore ones for the last 4 months and I'm really, really impressed with them. Ridden a couple of thousand miles wearing them and they don't seem to have worn at all. Stay up fine, nice slim legs, ecellent shorts.

I found that the Superlite's only really worked when you're wearing the clickfast liner. To be honest I only wear them when the temps are down to single digits and find that the Singletrack is more usable for everything else.

While not waterproof as such I find the water repellent on the Singletrack is more than up to the job for most rides.

Or as Endura describe them....

'Elasticated waist with EnduraÆ branded stretch elastic shock cord and mock fly'

I've got some outdoor style braces from REI.com in the States to help with that - I get it quite a lot on outdoor kit actually - something to do with my huge arse. Only $20. The braces that is, not my arse.

I'm not sure they do them any more so you might have to search. Of course, they call them suspenders in the States, so be careful what you type into google.

My Altura DryLines do the same thing - bloody annoying because otherwise they are great - nice dry bottom 🙂

Its a shame really, as the superlites are really nice shorts, just let down by the crappy waistline...

I think part of the problem for the Drylines, at least, is that they aren't really long enough for a 3/4 length short. They finish right on my knee so each movement of my leg tugs on the seam of the shorts and pulls them down. I suspect if they were a little longer this would happen less.

Don't have a problem with my Superlites - just tighten the stringy bit and they stay where they're put. Mrs P has got some of the Gore ones and you can see why they're twice the price - nice bit of kit.

It's really not the shorts that causes that, it's the compatibility with the shorts and your *rse.
