Altura Attacks for me- got a set of 3/4s for commuting, and 2 sets of normal shorts for mtb (I don't like 3/4s with kneepads). One set is more or less worn out but it's taken a couple of years, I'll get another to replace them. Wee bit sweatier than normal shorts but otherwise, just shorts.

Makes an unbelievable difference when riding, generally about once a year I end up wearing nonwaterproof shorts for a ride in autumn or winter and I end up like "why would anyone do this to themselves".

I use gore paclite ones, not sure what they're called though but they last very well.
