[Closed] Waterproof hardshell jackets?

[#7789837]

Looking for a new hardshell jacket to replace my aging Endura Venturi.

Basic criteria.

Hardshell with breathable material,
Pit vents of similar,
Chest pocket,
Hand pockets,
Hood or option for one,
Fitted cut i.e. not a flappy like a tent,
Not black.
No need for a million reflective patches as its not a commuter jacket.

Looked at the new venturi but only available in yellow or black, other options are either the Endura Singletrack jacket, Endura Velo or Altura Attack 360. Or stretch the budget to the Shower Pass Refuge.

Any other suggestions I should look at?

Cheers,
Rich.

I have an OMM Aeon jacket which seems to work quite well.

Cheers.

The Madison looks nice but has no hand pockets, just the chest one.
Same goes for the Gore, no pockets or vents.
Same also goes for the OMM.

I dont mind no pockets on a packaway waterproof, but for something id be wearing all day when its miserable out, id want the pockets.

The OMM does have pockets, with mesh lining. I brought it in with me today due to expectations of miserable rain during my cycle ride home.

You must have a different jacket then?

[i]The jacket stuffs into its only pocket, on the chest. The main zip is water resistant but also backed by a rain flap. Funky colours on the zips and highlights.

Back to Madison, have a look at the Roam or Addict.

Thanks.

I found a Madison Addict for £90 online so have ordered one to see what its like in person. Seems to meet all the requirements, reviews suggest the main zip isn't great which always annoys me but we will see what its like.

Cheers.

Bah!

Another in-stock but not in stock listing. The Addict is being discontinued so back on the lookout.

The kamleika looks nice but reviews suggest it errs toward the pack-a-mac vs tough hardshell. The vents are the pockets too so not really what im after.

Altura attack reviews all seem to comment its a bit sweaty compared to others, more suitable for winter use only.
