looking for some lightweight waterproof gloves for this nice summer we're having as my winter ones are far to warm, any suggestions/recommendations would be really helpful.

Is it really that bad that you need waterproof ones? Even with my crappy blood circulation (Raynauds - I get white/blue fingers in winter and very cold toes) I don't feel the need for waterproof gloves. I just wear my regular riding gloves and carry a spare dry pair just in case.

I would suggest looking for windproof rather than waterproof gloves. Very few gloves are actually waterproof and those that are (or claim to be) tend to be pretty hot/sweaty and so no good for this time of year. Actually I second domino above and would just use normal gloves but if it is cold and wet I do pull out an old pair of Gill gloves that have leather palms but a windproof neoprene backs. They are great but unfortunately don't make them any more.

I also have some Endura Full Monty gloves. Definitely not waterproof but almost completely windproof on the backs. They might suit you.

I agree - I use "waterproof" gloves with thinsulate for the winter to stop my hands freezing but I still seat inside loads and they are not waterproof on long rides so I just use them for commuting.
