Morning guys,
My Decathlon water bottle is half a cm too narrow on the neck to fit the solar storm 18650 battery box, anyone reccomend a wide necked water bottle, or uses a battery box in a water bottle?
I just took a normal water bottle and cut a slit down the side with a Stanley knife. Placed battery in it, fed connection through spout in kid. Then gaffer taped the bottle back up and screwed the lid back on. Looks rubbish but is still working after 5 years.
Edit: MTB batteries sell a battery in a water bottle which looks a lot more pro than mine.
You can get a quasi water bottle thing just for holding tools - theybhave a bigger neck than a water bottle and one of those packs should easily fit inside. I’ve got one - just drilled a hole in the lid for the wire to go through.
I think I got the last one from Planet X for under a fiver.
