Bit cautious on using a jet wash everytime I want a spanking clean bike, so anyone got any good cleaning tip for those hard to reach places like the back of the cassettes etc?

Just don't aim the jet directly at bearings and seals, and you'll be ok.

Take the cassette off. That way you can buff it up properly with metal polish.
