I had trouble undoing one chainring bolt because the male part of the bolt is to long.
Thinking if I can space it out a bit I can then get a screwdriver on the other side.
Anyone know or have a link

most places charge about 80-99p per spacer which is obscene. Often works out cheaper to get shorter chainring bolts if needed to correct the female part being too long. for your problem I would just buy a cheap (£3) chainring bolt tool as it will be cut out to clear the male bit. As long as the bolts are tightening up okay (ie the female part isn't too long).
