Golborne cycle centre on Golborne High street is highly recommended, technically in Warrington but 10 minutes drive from Warrington town centre

The best is Ron Spencer, he passed awaya few years ago but his son alex runs it. They are online for directions.

But there is a new(ish) shop in Stockton Heath called Wild Bikes which seems OK.

A very friendly and reliable shop called Dave Hinde is just down the road in Northwich.

I'd be prepared to take quite good odds my friend hasn't heard of Dave Hinde or his reputation.
