Is it not just a standard 1 1/8?

The answer is yes.

Just posted on your other thread.... 2006 spesh only did the s-works carbon frame which took a specialized mindset (mtb) headset. Its like a cartridge bearing with an integrated cup. Just google it. Do you have any of the existing headset as I have the bearings with cups in my garage from this frame-set which you can have. (BTW if your frame is the carbon pro or s-works from 2007 this'll be the same headset too). Let me know if you need any further help. Heres a new one --> http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/products/specialized-mindset

Pic of head tube or existing headset parts might help.
Mindset is Spesh only so if that what you have you will need to get it from a Spesh dealer

first of all, thank you to everyone for their help..
secondly, it takes integrated bearings and 36/45 degrees.. the only problem they seem to have is they cant find a cap that sits on top of the bearings, the bearings sit deep

Would you not be better just getting a complete headset from Spesh

One other thought , some headset bearings are deeper than others even with the same angles

HEADSET1 1/8" threadless, integrated alloy cups, sealed cartridge bearing

When Spesh list the above description it Normaly means its a mindset
