Couple of those cheap mega output Chinese cree's will be fine.... just remember to charge the batteries in a biscuit tin.

Will the beam give you enough visibility given Special Theory of Relativity? Think you’d have to bite the bullet, up your budget and get some Exposure lights instead?

Thinking about it, a lack of light wouldn't be a problem. Rather too much of it instead.

Fusing Chain Reaction with other stuff has been problematic in the recent past.
I think the designer needs to factor in the way air resistance increases in a non-linear way with speed. This bike will work best in a vacuum. Or at least downhill with a 4000mph tailwind.

Nahh.... It's an education thing. The photons inside the bike light don't have the knowledge that they are travelling faster than the speed of light already. As soon as the photons are emitted they fall behind instantly and have no hope of catching up, especially if the bike light is travelling at >c m/s. Clearly Exposure lights are a little bit cleverer than your AliExpress special, so the light falls behind at a slightly slower rate.

when they do these kind of crazy gear ratio things on utube it normally ends in catastrophic failure of the final spinning thing due to massive centripetal forces. Not sure I want to ride a bike that wants to shoot hypersonic spokes at me.
If you're travelling faster than the speed of light around the earth (assuming it's not flat) would you be better off having your lights facing backwards and using the light from the previous lap to see by?
A bugger to get started once the lights have changed, but you'll beat everything to the next set...
