its been 5 years since I last did walna scar and may be doing it next friday question is do we go all the way back to coniston or do we do the slate mines and road back to coniston

neither - ride to the car park and turn R to follow the wall on your left about 400m, then through the gate for an excellent technical rocky downhill to Spoon Hall, then a short section of road back to C 🙂

[edit] Beaten too it. Yeah bridleway at the car park is the best option.

My 2nd option would be slate mines to Torver.

We rode down WS on Wednesday evening, and all the crappy sanitisation has washed away, and below the rocky step the rain has cut a deep channel filled with rocks - I'm told, I'd turned right and missed it 🙁

There were diggers there doing stuff on the other side last time I was up there and all nice and rocky on the coniston side so never got to see the sanitisation any pics of it then and now
