OK, so its not actually a stand if its mounted to the wall but you know what I mean!

Are they any good? Any good/ bad experiences? Can anyone recommend?

Is it a clamp one (like LBS workshops sometimes have) or just hooks? If it's a clamp one then yeah, better than a stand in many situation. If it's just hooks then it depends how much the bike can move around when resting on them, the more it moves the crappier it is (plus you'll lose the height adjustability)

With a regular workstand, you can always walk around it to work on the other side of the bike. You may not be able to with a wall mounted one.

I'd only go wall mounted if space was really at a premium.

Got wall and floor stands in our workshop, floor stands tend to wobble around a bit much for me, but as said above there's no room to work on both sides of the wall mount type even though they're far more solid.

I have THIS and it's great.
Easy to mount, one handed fitting - I even use it to store my MTB on so it's level and out of the way.
