Was this the last weekend of dry n dust before more of a return to normality? Possibly, given it's currently raining - lightly but BIG drops - as I type this...
Bookended my weekend with two rides. First, locally on the Cascade early morning while it was still cooler:
I was pushed for time again last night so the ebike got another outing. Helped quite a bit against the decent headwind on the climb east onto the Ochils from Sherrifmuir and was blowing a hoolie on Colsnaur summit before the descent. Finished in the local woods accompanied by the scent of wild garlic.

Heading up your way next weekend I think but after riding Boltby Bash at the weekend, I think mute ebike****ers are a common thing rather than an exception!
Seems to be a tourist thing round here thankfully and normal quite easy to avoid.

My weekend went from this
To this in a few seconds
It all started so well! Lovely day exploring ruined by some buried wire that stopped the bike dead... unfortunately I carried on over the bars and used my face as a brake.ย
11 stitches to face, lip and chin later I'm taking drinks by straw.
Big thanks to Ian the Spaniard for picking up the pieces and for NHS A&E for sewing me back together in under 3.5hrs, exemplary service.
You know its good when a senior doctor (I know this because he had that sewn on his scrubs) says "oooh, that's deep" and chuckles to himself.
So no riding or driving for 48hrs under concussion protocol and I'll need to replace my @rad8cyclingglasses as the lens is super scratched, they did however save my eye from serious injury so shout out to them too 🙏

We live to ride another day!
Aaawww.
Looks nasty that does.
Hopefully you heal up quick.
