VW in good customer service shocker (well never to me, but I've heard differently) knackered waterpump on my T5 - 5 months out of warranty, fixed F.O.C. Ok, so it shouldn't have broken in the first place, but still v happy with their service, and speed, they took it in asap and turned it round in a couple of hours. Self employed so van down = no money!
Might get a shock in a few weeks if they forgot to put the jobcard through to charge you :lol It happened at our place the other week dont think it got chased though as it was a £60 job
I have to report the same experience. VW Commercials here in Cardiff have been absolutely superb. I have no idea why they are so different than regular dealership/workshops, but they're sure doing something right!
Obvious is it not? Commercial vehicles generally tend to be used as part of a job i.e. it isn't a 'luxury' item that can be bought as you can afford it - it's bought as it is needed to work. If the service is dire, word of mouth soon gets out and sales of VW commercial vehicles gets hit (as in a lot of cases it isn't the actual vehicle the decides on the purchase - it's the after sales care as most vehicles are pretty much the same).
For non-commercial stuff - they don't need to care as much as the vehicle(s) aren't bought as a necessity in the sense that you need it for your livelihood - it's a nice to have that has become the norm.
