[Closed] Vodafone-no record of contract

I agreed to a new contract with Vodafone, over the phone in March. They say they record their calls. I’m in disagreement with them over what was included. I have very accurate notes and can tell them the time, date and salesman name (well his first name) and the call centre he worked out of, and everything that he said was included in the price.

When I asked them to look up the call, they said they only keep the calls on hard disc for 28 days, so the only record they have of what is included in the contract is what the salesman updates on the system. This may or may not be what was agreed, but I suspect , OK I know, it was less than what I agreed to, probably so he gets his commission.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggested action, after all they can’t prove what was said. I’ll complain to Vodafone, but doubt I will get anywhere.

There was a well documented vase of call centre employees offering terms in order to get clients to sign up which turned out to be unauthorised and unrecorded. By the time it was picked up they were long gone together with their commission.

The case I refer to was with a major credit card company and with a call centre in India (where btw staff have made up western names)
