Well made, but I was in tears.

It will inevitably come to this with my two dogs, hopefully in many years from now, but I'm already dreading it.

I'm sat in work, just couldn't watch that all the way. I have many years left in my dog I hope, but hell it's gonna hurt when the time comes.

The bugger kept me up most of last night, really distressed with the howling wind. The only thing I could do to comfort him was have him sleep up on the sofa with me. ๐Ÿ™

I must admit I had tears streaming down my face as the guy hit the nail on the head with the comment about Dogs not caring about cars, money or houses they just want to be your friend. Thought the guy was Flea from the Chilli's when I started watching It.

I'll watch this when I get home. We put out oldest Springer to sleep a month or so ago, mind was strong, body/joints had given up.

I have to say thats not the thing to do. To the dog, you are protecting it from what it thinks is something wrong. I would suggest you sleeping on the sofa, with the dog on the floor or in his cage, certainly not with you though.

With our dog we ignored loud bangs, the door opening and things, she no longer barks at strange noises, it took time, persistance and training. No it wasnt as simple as it sounds.

If you're going to kill people at a wedding you may already be overwrought

Very good video & it brought back all the memories of when we had to have ours put to sleep 6 years ago.But time is a great healer & two years ago the family finally convinced me to get another dog, which is probably the best thing to do.My only condition was it'd have to be another Boxer, thinking this one could never be as much trouble as the last one,who was a handful to say the least.....How wrong was I ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

reminds me of my brothers dog that went a few years ago

me my brother and sister in law took her to the vet with a swollen stomach

she was in there for days and they hadn't even given her a scan

then I got the phonecall from the vet to get there asap as she wasn't going to last long, my brother couldn't deal with it so I had to go, then as I was on my way to the vet I had another call saying she was dead. Never cried like that before, it was uncontrollable ๐Ÿ™

Then I took her to my brothers house and spent an afternoon digging the hole

They definitely get to you

Wow rocked me!!! ๐Ÿ˜

A really strong film, thanks for posting it, the should make people watch that before they take on a dog for the first time to realise what they are taking on emotionally.

I did the same thing with my Lab a year ago, she had me for 12 years and was with me through some rocky parts of my life but was the best dog ever.

Just thinking of getting another one as miss her so much.

Dogs they get under your skin - loyal to the death - amazing ๐Ÿ˜›

I want to get another dog, unfortunatly my working hours don't suit dog ownership. My mums current dog, which used to be my dog before I moved out is now 10 and i'm not looking forward to that day

Stan, funnily enough we were sitting at home last night with one of our dogs curled up on the sofa, and my wife made almost exactly that comment.

People say that when a pet dies it's a bit like losing a member of the family. I disagree - it is losing a member of the family.

Man euthanising his dog while wittering about god, presumably with a film crew in tow who get lots of arty shallow-DOF, in-and-out-of-focus shots and set them to sub-Coldplay music. He has a bit of a cry then rides his bike for a bit.

Meh. 6 mins I won't get back.

well, he did start on the floor.....

I woke with him on my feet.

He normally sleeps under the high up bed.

Bit of a lost cause that dog, we got him when he was about a year or so old, rescue dog, and while his mood has improved now, he's just not great at settling, even with sedatives (more for us really). He'll never be trail dog, may eventually get on with other dogs, may eventually get what dog's are supposed to do (!), but then may not. I'm not that bothered if he doesn't, won't stop me trying, but he is who he is and shows us a tremendous amount of affection.

Never been much of a dog person, but this one really has worn me down.

Im sorry, yes its very sad losing any pet, but im not going to waste my last moments with it by videoing it and subsequently posting it on the internet for all and sundry to watch.
Wheres the DIGNITY in that?
(before anyone starts throwing sh!t at me, I've held a loved pet in my arms whilst its life slipped away after a lethal injection and its still upsets me now, 15 years later.)
Each to their own i suppose.

Agree with bigyinn.
People don't seem to be able to be content with their private thoughts these days. "I must show EVERYONE"
(eg. going to gigs... "look look look at the photos I took of where I was")
Man euthanising his dog while wittering about god.. So glad I didn't watch now
