That trail is great fun, especially considering where it is.
As a night ride its great fun too. It makes you want to sprint the whole length. Whats the lap record ?

I'm tempted to do an hours worth of lordswood trails in soton, as its bone dry at the moment, if i had video equipment, hertz dublin acquired mine...
No one knows what the lap record is because the trail keeps changing.
At the moment I'd guess that it's around 14 minutes.
Someone once claimed that they were doing it in 11 minutes but it turned out that for some reason they weren't riding all of the trail!

The trail is 4.3km long and will be about 5.3km long once the new-new section is built.
Its a great place to practice cornering and sprinting. I think I took 20 mins to do it about a month ago 🙁
We know a really fast rider and he told me last night that he'd done a lap in just over 12 minutes.
