I want to sort my garage out and am thinking of wall mounting the bikes.
I was considering these B-TWIN Wall Hook but they're out of stock.
Is there anything similar out there? These things don't need to be super strong as I'll probably arrange it so the back wheel rests on the ground when it's settled.
Oh and nothing over a tenner (ish) I've got a lot of bikes to hang up . . .
Cheers in advance
Gary
We use the B Twin like you want, 8 along the back wall of the garage, with the back wheel on the floor. We used them as they were the strongest we could get for the price and will take big tyres and deep rims
If you have a local Decathlon they may have them in stock, our local is showing them, or someone on here may be able to pick some up for you.
We have a few spare that our daughter fetched back from Uni but going to keep hold of them just in case.
The ones from Planet X look ok but they are limited on tyre size and width
Any one with any experience of Clug mounts ? I'm going to have proper indoor storage for the first time in a while, and was looking at these as a solution
Thanks Tracey - I thought the store stock thing wasn't working but switching browser has got it. I'll give the stores showing stock a call an see if there's anything they can do.
halfords do somthing very similar to teh decathlon mount but an inline mount. i`ve got 6 in my garage. only a couple of quid a go. they get wobbly after a few years but a pair of new screws sorts that.
Clug aren't bad but you need to be very precise with the drilling as otherwise they will be wonky.
One tip is to set the height of the hook so that the wheel can rest on the floor.
If these are for various family members, not all of them will be able to physically lift a bike into the air vertically to hook it on, bear that in mind.
Hooks wise you can use any type they are nothing special and none do the job any better than others.
I used to use the usual wall mount hooks, but I got fed up with rims getting scratched.
I now use these Topeak Swingup
Can also swing bike sideways to make space.
We (aka hubby) built these wooden ones that Blake (GMBN) demo’d. Painted them dark brown and they look quite nice. Don’t work so well if you have big mud guards though
+1 for Halfords Mottez bike hooks. £3 each, sturdy and takes most bikes. I have my Fs 29, road bike and sons 27.5 on one each.
Linky
I got pretty much exactly the same thing as the B-Twinn ones, but from Biltema and they work well enough in our shed for the couple of bikes we have there.

Without experience of others, yes these are limited. Biggest tyres I've tried are Maxxis 2.35 and just go in with a bit of shuggling.
I have 6? of these

But I wish I could have bought hinged hooks - makes it a lot easier to pack the bikes in close but still access them
totally not what you asked for, but the steady racks I got at huge expense have been really worth it. They seem super expensive - they are - but you can sometimes pick them up for the price of a tyre (which is how I justified it)

This sort of thing?
I didn't get Planet X ones but identical functioning ones off eBay for very little.
For my plus bike I took the sheath off and cut the hook down, works a treat.

Bend the hook outwards. That's what I've done, my 2.4" tyres slide in gracefully and I'm sure you could make any tyre short of a fatbike fit.
