Tried this last night. The hack where you turn the bike upside down, depress the seatpost, turn the bike back over and put the dropper up worked a treat on my Brand-X Ascend II. It had developed quite a bit of squish. Now rock solid again.
Suprised though, thought this was specific to Reverbs.

Works on my old Thomson post as well, though I am now having to do it every ride! Time for a service finally after 4 years........
