[#5388339]

I'm thinking about moving to a different frame (longer travel enduro style) and probably need to let my trusty Slaty
Go to part fund the process.

The frame is 2005 (just 1 update since then) and in vgc.

Apart from the fact that the frame is worth £500 as p/x against another new Ventana frame (which has to be a positive for someone looking for a new ventana frame) does anyone have any ideas as to frame value ?

I've had little success moving my El Ciclon for £300, despite it having a new Kashima shock.
Someone comes along with a ropey old four drawer Staples special & it's snapped up in no time.

Takisawa2, I see you made a valiant effort to shift that frame. Did it sell in the end ? It looks immaculate, has it seen much service (or was that the reason for sale ?)

Bit of a thread hijack... But is the el ciclon still for sale?

pymwymis, I've had two. The silver one went (eventually), but the current red one is for sale (again). I built it up again for the summer but my off-road amblings these days just dont do it justice. 😥

catfishsalesco, Yes. Most of the bits below are for sale. 😉

Its a shame. The attention to detail is superb, two bearings at each pivot for example. They really are very stiff, well built frames but folk prefer all these hydroformed curvy tubes these days.

It took me ages to sell my brand new El Ciclon frame which eventually went for less than £500!

Hmmm. Probably keep it then for when 26" becomes the new wheel size.

Lovely frame, If I bad the cash I'd take it from you.
