I ordered a n/w chainring from them almost 2 weeks ago and am getting messed about via email with all sorts of excuses, they even claim to have sent out 2 chainrings but 2 weeks down the line everything else for my build has turned up a week ago and still no sign of my chainring! Is this an isolated case or do I need to look into getting a refund through paypal?

Funnily enough I ordered a 34T Vectiox on 26/03/14 via ebay, it turned up Tuesday of last week I think. I Fitted and tried over the weekend on a 1x9 HT at BPW on Sunday, and it works, I did my best to rattle it off over the rocks on Pork Belly, Rim Dinger and Deep Navigation, I'm utterly bolloxed now as I've only got an 11-32t Cassette fitted and I was pedalling /pushing up all day (Separate issue I suppose)...

Couple of minor points though, it's pretty thick and chunky and hence a wee bit weighty if that bothers you, should be robust though (seems to be machined out of 1/4" plate), I kept a granny ring fitted to try and make up for the lack of cassette range climbing but the chain kept catching the thick N/W rings tab and getting sucked up so if you plan to do similar you may want to look at spacing the inner ring...

The machining seems OK, they look to have shot blasted it, the anodising on the teeth was worn worn off in lot of places after yesterday but it was wet and gritty and pretty much as I expected.

Also they've laser etched their logo on the same face as the counter-bore for the chainring bolts (which of course need to face inboard if the ring is fitted in the "Middle" position), meaning I've got the logo pointing inboard, only an issue if providing free advertising for someone who's just flogged you something is a serious desire...

For £30 posted, I'm happy enough, I may well be ordering a 32T (or even a 30T) when OO's cheaper N/W rings turn up, in the interim I'll be shopping for a wider range Cassette and Resisting the urge to go to 10 speed...

Maybe I should have ordered through ebay then... I got it direct for a £3 saving, suppose that backfired then

I didn't realise it was £3 cheaper Direct, TBH I'd probably have opted for that if I'd looked, I only got it because it was relatively cheap.

From looking at their ebay listing it does appear they are low on stock, you can only have black in 36T and there only a couple of Blue 32T and 34T left...

I don't know if they're manufacturing the rings for themselves, buying in from a UK/European based machinist, or bulk ordering from the Far-East so who knows what their re-stock times are like...

I have had my Vectiox ring on for about 4 rides now, I went for it because my race face one wore out after 6 month (Chain has started falling off). The vectiox one seems great, Raced a vey muddy DH race yesterday and no issues with no chain device, just clutch and thick/thin. I have order 2 more.
