A mate of mine bought a prophet 3 a while back and it came with a coil Tora fork, which look a bit spindly and are a bit bouncy for him, he

1

re fitted with a standard spring. I

s with a big spring sitting around I can give him, I always liked the Vanillas but I`m wondering which is the better fork, am I actually doing him a favour or should he just get a big spring in his Toras, anyone had experience of both?

too right, fox might not have much in the way of reliabilty (sweeping statment is bound to set some-one off) but fox IMO are one of the best performing forks on the market.

Not that I'm slagging Tora's, as for the money there bang on, but better than Van's, are you having a laugh?

but if the Tora's standard spring is not strong enough for him, then the std van won't be either will it... (unless in your garbled 1st post you explain this away...)

Yep there`s a big spring in the vans, which I always liked, never tried toras but got revs and pikes which are both good, so hence the Q.
