I know it's a running joke here, but who does it. Consider this an AA meeting (aligners anonymous), it's ok to share.
No. But then again, I don't really ride my mountain bike anymore.
No, with dual ply tyres I'm just happy to get the bloody things on rather than worry about how it looks.
Only since being signed up to STW.
A rather crap excuse but I find if I line the logos up I can quickly spot where the valve is when changing a flat ๐ณ
Always.
Reason for doing this proved the other day. Out riding with some mates, one punctured. He removed tube and gave it to the other one, who found the hole and said it's about a quarter of the way round from the valve. Of by this time the tyre had been removed from the rim and we had no idea where a quarter turn was. If had lined them up properly...
[EDIT] See Nuke above.

Of course.
Yep indeedy
Yes.......... and I'm ashamed of myself
I'm sure the aligners here will balk at the knowledge that I not only don't align, but I also have different types of valve in each wheel! Presta up front, Schrader in the back
(This is based on the available tube last time I had a puncture)
I don't care about the valves, I line the tyre logos up with the rim logos. I've been doing this for 20 years and it has bugger all to do with STW!
Aye, and hub logos are visible through the valve hole as well.
I don't, never have. Now ride tubeless so even less reason to do it
Nope.
NO.
Yes, partly for the puncture-finding thing and partly because I'm a bit anal.
I align the logo on the rim with the logo on the tyre, or put them at 180'...
Kev
Always align valve with tyre logo and as someone else said the logo on the hub is in line with the valve hole.
Also before embarking on any ride always set off with both front and rear valves at top dead center! ๐
Yes and proud
Yes, always, why not?

Then it's time to go home ๐
No. With tubeless there's no practical reason for it so doing it would be obscenely anal ๐
My tyres are pretty dirty,so you can't see the logos anyway... ๐
what do you do when the logo is in a different place on either side of the tyre ?
p.s. getting pretty fed up of the auto americanised spelling checker ๐
Yes I do ........... Oh the shame ๐
Yes! Makes the bike look better, imo...

Line upon the drive side, nicest looking side on my bike.
yep on every wheel i own
I do. Purely for aesthetics and to satisfy a mild compulsion.

Which one Mike? ๐
yes if i am at home changing stuff. Trailside repair/ fix might depends is it winter and raining
Yep - for the puncture finding thing.
Get a life , just ride
yes, and i always have, makes it easier to find the valve.
anyway, isnt it in the rules?
Yes not only for the puncture thing but it's the little things like this that show some pride in your work. Like building a wheel so rim stickers read from the right hand side.
Same as Junkyard, I think. If I'm fitting new, do a neat job n line it all up. When refitting after a trailside repair, whack it on and get going quick as poss.
Yes for finding the valve quicker when punctured.
Nope.
I do, handy if you puncture to find the hole and see if there's anything sticking through it. And also because it really doesn't take any effort at all.
YES....its the law 8)
Always have done, strangely, for almost as long as I've bin riding mtbs. Way way before I discovered STW, and that there are others who do the same. ๐
Just seems natural.
Next to the valve or opposite the rim logo for me.
+1 for hub logos through valve holes
Definitely line up. I don't like faffing around when I have a puncture. It's a sign of incompetence or tubelessness if you don't.
There was a good reason for lining up the hub makers name with the valve hole too, but it's now redundant.
Yep,
like northwind sez, its practical.
looks better too.
