To be honest this is the type of thing i was expecting/hoping for:

2012 was a far easier course though- hardest stage was broon troot. Don't know about length but it wasn't physically that hard. 2013 was a big escalation

(it was berm baby berm/electric blue, broon troot, spooky-shallow-rave-hitsquad, then the fort descent IIRC. Oh and 2 bastard timed climbs!)

Well without timed climbs....

All these dugs look the same to me!

Oh, we were supposed to be digging on bside at the weekend but that's cancelled so that's looking even less likely as a stage. But you never know. I still say cademuir, it fits the teases. I've not been up there since before it got Forestried but I gather the dh is back in service?

The DH track, with the new turns in the middle, is on form at the minute! Going to be an awesome stage again.

Did notice that the stuff they'd used to block the link/chute that took you from the blue after spooky wood into brown trout has been significantly cleared. Just a few branches covering it yesterday so a good chance that's in

Most probably same trail used in K&Q then down to bottom of Broon Troot from corner using natural spooky

Do you have to wear a helmet on the transitions here? I would prefer a full face for the stages but I don't fancy climbing in it.

Yes, the exemption of access rights signs do kind of spoil the guessing game fun ! I was hoping to start some ludicrous rumors via this website, so that game is over.

Word on the street is the theme is 'four corners' so there are going to be stages at GT, Cademuir, Inners and the golfy. Supposed to be 60K+ so bring yer climbing legs

Sorry, 'four corners + an out and back'

If I got to plan events, no one would enter them

Not for Vallelujah.

Maybe the International or K&Q though...

Very much looking forward to this now!

If anyone spots an Audi driving, all-the-gear-no-idea, enduro colorway-clad fool on a snot green Giant Reign then say Hi. I'll feel a little less Billy-no-mates then ๐Ÿ˜€

Assuming they let me out of the hospital on Thursday night I will be the one sat in the camp site with a pot on my right foot. Bit peeved that it will be the first time I've been to Glentress and not rode my bike. wont even bee able to wander to the stages to cheer everyone on.

Great! Let me know whereabouts you are and I'll try to throw some straight back - although that involves multitasking and that's usually where things go wrong

Are you marshalling Northwind ? You are not on my list - if you are who I think you are that is. Or Dougie.

I've not heard anything back but yeah, sent a FB message volunteering for sunday. Passive aggressively asking to be put somewhere fun not marshalling a road junction or some pish, so yo never know, perhaps I'm not wanted ๐Ÿ˜†

Bottle of red wine and the name of the kiwi prime minister will get you a good spot. Or the new Loretta Lynne album.

I am going to this, cannot wait! Ridden Glentress many times but looking forward to discovering some of its hidden trails!

Keep an eye out for a top trail mincer on a bright pink Bronson. Heckling is appreciated!!

*Edit* Speaking of tires, I will be rocking a Shorty up front and a Minion SS oot back. Will I die?

I've been considering the Minion SS out back too, but have stuck with the HRII so far. An enduro might not be the best time to try a tyre for the first time ๐Ÿ™‚

Yep - it gets worse every day I look at the forecast. Still time for it to change though.

My friend has entered it and has asked me down on Sat to join him for practise. Will I be allowed on the trails or I be stopped from using them.

Yeah you wont be allowed to ride them unless you're on a brightly coloured Santa Cruz I'm afraid

It says in the rider notes that only people with a number board will be allowed in the downhill sections. How well that is enforced I have no idea.

yeah bright Santa Cruz, goggles and bright kit, say "stoked" or "sick" a lot and you'll probably be fine without a number board

It's pretty impractical to enforce but the intent is pretty clear, I don't think the important question is will you be stopped or not tbh.

I have used the Minion SS successfully at the NDH Enduro at Kielder and BPW and it has been very impressive but thinking on steeper, slippery terrain I may switch out.
