I need a pair of 5 brake levers for a 5 year old to go on a Dawes Blowfish with 16" wheels. She can't easily reach the current levers and the current levers are pretty rough around the edges so could do to be changed anyway.

Please let me know where you have bought specific levers.

Cheers.

Had exactly the same problem. I found the tektro kids levers too big (the ones available everywhere online for £7/8.

I bought these. Pricey but brilliant size and seem really good quality.

Tektro are the main one in use on kids bikes...
Never actually bought any (indeed have unused ones ripped off bikes sat in the shed) but cheapest quick google is £6.99 (hence why they are just sat in the shed as its hardly worth selling given postage)

I bought the tektro ones Steve lists above and found they were too big for my 6 year old hence my recommendation above.

What I found is for them to work when my kid was 5 you had to adjust them so far in that the wheel needed to be near perfectly true...and getting the wheel on and off involved releasing the brake cable at the other end..
Definitely not ideal....

To be honest ditching v-brakes was a huge motivation for him moving onto the 24er when he was 6... not that they didn't stop him just the god awful rubbing of pads on the rims drove me nuts

The old sram 9sl levers have a really nice reach adjust.
They're nice quality if you can find some on eBay.
