Tell me about pro's & cons.
Looking at an insurance replacement bike and it comes with UST rims and tyres. Would I need to use sealant to prevent thorn punctures etc.

You don't need sealant to make them work and there's some debate over the effect of some sealant on some tyres but for the sake of 60 grms, I alwasy use it on tubeless and converted wheelsets.
That's about the gist of it.
UST tyres seal on the rim without the need for sealant hence are tighter to get on an off.
UST tyres generally have more puncture proof side walls and casing so have a reduced need for sealants, but are heavier.
Please correct if I'm wrong on these counts, but they are just generalities.
I've been running UST on the race bike for 2 years & have found them very reliable. Only put some sealant in the second pair of tyres when I knew I was going somewhere thorns were an issue.
Changing tyres isn't hard because you don't have a tube or rim strip getting in the way. Monorail go on & off Crossmax SL's by hand.
If I could afford it I'd do my FS with UST too.
