hey,
i want to run 2.35 non - ust minions tubless on my crank bros cobalt wheels, i weigh 13 stone and ride pretty aggresively.
any one run non ust tyres tublessly on ust rims? how do they hold up? do you un seat them?
thanks in advance fo rany advice!
cheers
I think most people running tubeless are using non-UST tyres these days tbh. Some of mine are tubeless ready (TLR), others are just standard, all have worked fine. Some take a while to seal- standard Rubber Queens foamed away for weeks on rides- but most just seal straight up, and once on they're fine.
Not all tyres work well though... Panaracer have a rep for being too slack to work well frinstance. All my Maxxi and Kendas have been spot on though.
I found the well on UST rims made inflation far harder than on a non-UST rim. You may find the same - filling the well with some draught excluder did the job!
