[Closed] Using old turbo trainer with oversize bars

I've got an old Tacx cycletrack turbo trainer, and the resistance control is for standard handlebars, now I've gone to oversize it doesnt fit. Looks like the newer ones came with a larger band, and a choice of inserts.

any tips how I can get it to fit, or an alternative?
