what does everyone do with used, worn out tyres? bin them? recycle them into something magical? any ideas?

Store them in the shed 🙂 I mean, they always have a little life left in them, and you never know when you might just need it. (I have a box full of rolled up tyres!) I have a brand new set of wire bead Kona treads in the shed...will never use them, but can't justify chucking them!

i've got about 5 tyres some with bald patches, big tears in, they;ve been sat in my shed for about 3 years and not been used, rather try and do something with them than stick them in landfill

There was a guy at BUSA who appeared to have made body armour out of them...

Get a time machine, go back ten to fifteen years and make funky chainstay protectors.
