Anyone else riding this tomorrow?

Could be interesting if it's wet. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

No, but quite a few of my mates are.

Looking a bit wet and breezy, but Swains should be fine since it's quite narrow. It'll be the top and bottom where everyone will get wet ๐Ÿ˜†

BOL if you're taking part.

*waves at mum*

I think i traumatised him a bit by telling him I'd talked to his mum on an Internet forum. I could see his mind racing...

It's not looking promising. ๐Ÿ™

I tried doing a seated L7 effort up the steep bit this evening in case it's wet. Super had to keep up a full sprint sitting down. We'll see how it goes.

BOL if you're taking part.

Thanks. I've been put in the seeded part of the draw. No pressure there, then. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

*waves back at Kryton*.

Oh gosh, that would have rendered him speechless! ๐Ÿ˜€

Are you marshalling today? Do hope the weather improves, just had some thunder and lightening in Hampshire.

That's not a hill

It doesn't matter how big it is, it's how hard you push it.

It's lashing it down at the mo. ๐Ÿ™

No, its family day today for me, bike day tomorrow. Plenty of ours in the event though as its a local training climbing for the club.

For anyone interested, its been Everested by our club as well as others which equates to riding it 142 times ๐Ÿ™‚

Kryton - I believe the weather is better tomorrow. 142 times is insane!

Sunshine and blue skies here now, am willing it to head to Highgate.

Have fun all. ๐Ÿ˜€

A mate of mine got 2nd, no idea why he wasn't seeded though but it was a bit drier earlier on so that helped

Apart from Isaac, (who was over 10 seconds faster than 2nd!!) It was so tight in the top ten. Less than 2 seconds separated 2nd to 10th. There was a downpour 20 minutes before the seeded riders, so it was a bit tricky to keep traction. I think that closed the field up a bit. I really died in the last 50 yards, but got 9th overall.

Mixed feelings from my side. If you'd have told me I after I broke my wrist last winter and had 3 months off the bike that I'd have made the top 10, I would have been happy. But after being so close the podium and knowing my power was a big down on a couple of efforts I've done in training, I was a bit disappointed.

Still, this wasn't my main focus for the HC season, so onwards to the Eastern Counties and hopefully Catford (awaiting entry confirmation) next weekend.
